A Flash of Victory
May 6th, 2008 by Commander Fenix
I can’t stop thinking of all that I’ve seen. The death, the triumphs, the destruction. All about to be blown away. With nothing left but the memories…
This is it, I’m about to witness the power of these weapons. What if GDI is wrong though, what if this was a NOD bluff? We’d need at least a few dozen Nukes to match that plan, and it would have to be so precise that it would seem near impossible! But I sat and watched, with my mask on to shield my eyes from the blinding light. Waiting is what I hate most, especially when you don’t know what to expect… then, just before you give up, something happens… nothing yet though.
I almost went to turn around and tell the pilot to go back and pick up anyone needing evac from the area when the best and worst thing happened… two huge Green and White flashes came to my sight. Then I could see what appeared to look like some sort of ultra Nuclear explosion cloud, but with a tinge of green. There was silence for a moment, then the door closed. “Expect a shockwave of a large magnitud-…!” That’s all the pilot was able to say before the deep, loud rumble came.
Then our engines went out, we were crash landing! Luckily, I still had a breaching charge with me, I blew the door open, jumping out with those elites and the pilots. We are equipped with short-use jetpacks as standard for our ranks. I actually felt thankful to GDI for once, these things actually saved my life.
That’s how the war practically ended. It was only now that NOD and GDI could see that even through differences, there could at last be peace. To think this all started with me not knowing whether I’d make it through even the first day… now I’m one of the few who made it out of there… Victory was achieved. But peace will be an achievement that will take more time…

The Plan
May 6th, 2008 by Commander Fenix
Well, this is it. I’ve said goodbye to all my friends and have wished them good luck. I’m now in a transport carrier with some elite soldiers. We’re zooming out of here at amazing speeds, we have little under twenty minutes left…
I never told why they needed anyone to stay behind, officers or soldiers. Scrin are swarming out with more units, now some to counter-act our infantry, these new creatures that we’re simply calling “The Swarm”, fly around in orbit of each other. When they attack, they come flying at infantry, each Swarm tearing off parts of your flesh, blood, bone and everything else.
They were also bringing in as many of their best units that they could, without officers there to command, our soldiers wouldn’t stand a chance, and without soldiers, out officers couldn’t hold them off. We need to keep the battle in play so that the Scrin cannot escape the destructive wave from the LTB. That’s the price to pay for war… death and destruction.
Well, we’re well out of range now. The pilot has opened the back door of the transport, you could see everything from back here, even this far away. But it was so much more… peaceful, quiet. Not a sound except the slow roaring fire from the engines… peace…

Operation Greenhouse
May 6th, 2008 by Commander Fenix
Senior Sergent Wilkins mission was a success! We now have control of these “Liquid Tiberium Bombs” and have been given new orders. Considering this could be the last battle NOD faces, the GDI officials have decided to go to all lengths to contain the threat and stop it now.
Operation Greenhouse is underway. We’re deciding who’ll volunteer to help out. Most of my friends have decided that they will do their part with honour. I’ve been striving to stay back, but apparently I’m needed elsewhere ASAP! I have exactly thirty minutes to make my way around to say my farewells and be well out of the area. I’ll never see any of these guys again… GDI are going to send one LTB (Liquid Tiberium Bomb) in to the wormhole to the other side, cutting off the main power source hopefully. As for the other one… the Scrin have far too many forces on Earth now, they could build a new Wormhole, which means that the other LTB will strike this area, killing all GDI, NOD and Scrin forces within a radius of approx. 1000km, probably more, we’re not entirely sure.
Let’s hope that this sacrifice ends the war…

The end of the book
May 6th, 2008 by Commander Fenix
This might sound absolutely crazy, but in the storm there has been some sort of… sphere, portal thing that has appeared out of no-where. Then these strange life-forms started coming right out of it. More of these things are opening in the centre of the battlefield. We believe it’s some sort of alien race that have made Wormholes using the power of this storm, that now seems like they made. We’re going to refer to them as “Scrin”.
The Scrin have Tripod machines, almost like something out of a movie! Cruiers flying overhead, Scrin fighter space-craft engaging us and NOD. They have millions of infantry units crawling out. They’re infantry units are these four-legged creatures, about the same size as the adverage person, but with a strange… beak-type mouth that shoot some sort of disintergrating laser! They also have a more powerful unit, very similar to the other, but they have a different head and they shoot small concentrated shots that do mass damage. As for those Tripod’s… they are MASSIVE! We’re having trouble taking these things down due to their shields. We’re working more on containment before anything. This new threat looks more dangerous than NOD did!

NOD’s plans for domination
May 6th, 2008 by Commander Fenix
The storm’s died down a bit more again, but more importantly, we know why NOD are so desperate for this area. Well, apparently, GDI board members claim they’ve known for some time, but until now it’s been too risky to leak out the info.
NOD are utilizing the Tiberium in this area, which has some sort of special mineral in it… to make a weapon so destructive, they could wipe out this entire sector leaving nothing more than a giant crater filled with even more Tiberium. There’s only an estimated two missles ready, but we dear that they could fire them at any moment. Which is why my friend Senior Sergent Wilkins has been given a special task force to gain control of this once ’secret’ facility.
The storm is getting the worst it’s ever been! Something big’s about to heppen here, I just hope that if it’s bad, it’s on NOD’s side.

Eye of the Storm
May 6th, 2008 by Commander Fenix
Trust me Princess Leia, no-one wants this war to end more than the GDI, and we’re doing our best to make sure that this achievement is assured. I’ve seen many of my friends been shot, stab, burnt alive and blown into oblivion! I’m doing my best to make sure that this key battle is won.
We’ve been fighting in this area for days, NOD’s bringing plenty of reinforcements for their defence, but we’re counter-acting with our own reinforcements. It’s strange though, I think NOD have some sort of device to create these horrible storms which have been crashing our network signals (which is why I haven’t been blogging for some days now).
We’ve had some strange sightings in the sky at night and sometimes during the day. But it’s not a big deal. At least I hope not, it might just be some debris from the battles taking place in orbit. There’s a strange thing about this storm though, it’s like a donut, there’s a hole right in the middle of it. I think there’s still a storm in there though, we have missles, lasers and bullets all flying in there.
I think that this battle is coming near an end, and the war too, with the way things are going. I can’t imagine NOD being able to hold out for long after this, they’ve suffered more than they should’ve, which is a good thing for us. The storm’s really picking up, I better post now and report back later.

NOD’s Background
May 1st, 2008 by Commander Fenix
While the battle is going in our favour, allow me to explain some things about NOD… they want Tiberium, why? Who really knows, I suppose that’s what religon does to people, it starts off small, but leads to war and death. NOD, believe that Tiberium has been sent to them as a blessing for their ‘Brotherhood’.
What does NOD mean? I haven’t actually been told, but to me… NOD means an enemy, it means death, destruction, loss and pain. NOD is all that humanity has come to hate… NOD… is terror.

The Demolition
May 1st, 2008 by Commander Fenix
This is it, I’ve ordered all my units to hide until the artillary has razed every building along NOD’s frontline and more.
As bad as destroying what we as a people have strived to create, ripping down all that we have come to praise for such an accomplish, it’s still an amazing sight. To see these buildings being teared down with NOD soldiers in them… with NOD soldiers jumping out of them in hopes of escaping their fate… and all those NOD forces that surround the buildings, being crushed under the weight of the destruction.
NOD are beggining to fall back from the looks of it, my army is pushing foward to elimate any stragglers.
You might think that my… enjoyment for NOD’s death is disturbing, but if you look at it from my point of view… NOD have destroyed a peaceful city, killed so many of my friends… if you were in my position, you would want payback, wouldn’t you?

Payback!
May 1st, 2008 by Commander Fenix
Sorry about before everyone. It was… too much…
Let’s just change the subject. I got a call before, we’re getting in some of our best units now. We’re getting our “Mammoth Tanks”, giant tanks, with armour so thick it’d take at least three artillary strikes to break it. It’s armed with two large cannons and pods of missles, possibly the best tank money can buy. To make things better, we’ve also got some “Juggernaughts” coming in to take back this city with destruction. Juggernaughts are two legged walkers with three massive artillary cannons on top, these things can raze down a building with two shots, and one shot left to make the wreckage fly out in all directions, ripping nearby infantry into pieces.
We’ve also got our Fortress Cruisers here, we don’t have a lot of these things, but with about one thousand cannons along each side, or maybe more, these things can stand their ground and take the enemies’ ground. We’ve got the order to take out the NOD base and all that they’ve captured so far.
After this, I might be able to just resign and go home. I sure as hell hope so… I, I’ve seen to much.

The Frontline
May 1st, 2008 by Commander Fenix
I never expected the fronts to be this chaotic! Every 3 seconds there’s a missle that flies past you, then every 10 seconds there’s an artillary strike! I’ve lost count how many times I’ve heard those sniper bullets wizz past my head. Not to mention how many times I have to change our base of operations due to too much destruction to the old ones.
So now that we know what a hell hole I’ve gotten myself into, I’ll give you a brief description about our situation. We’re getting pushed back slowly, and the barricades that some idiotic officer ordered to be made… now thanks to his great plans, NOD have secured these barricades and have easily managed to set them up for their own advatage, now we have to use round after round of our god damn artillary just to take these bastards out!
*sigh*… but at least all isn’t lost, I just got word today that me, and five other officers are the highest rank in our entire defence. Which sounds bad, but we get control over our own forces. Now I have air support, more tanks, defence planning and other things that I hope I can use better than the other poor officers who lost all their limbs and heads from artillary and rockets…
Geez, I have so much to say. But not even words can explain the horrific things I’ve seen… I’ve seen soldiers who have had one hundred bullets go into them per seconds, each bullet puncturing their armor and skin, with the of what’s left of them being scattered across the ground after 5 seconds. I’ve seen soldiers being taken, minced and made into a formula to make Tiberium grow from the grounds. NOD… they are beginning to find ways of using Tiberium against us. They’ve been able to get the right dose of Tiberium to infect themselves with (And some other chemicals to counter-act the radiation I guess) and can now stand near the Tiberium without actually being affected by it’s burning radiation. Now they’re able to break the crystals and place them into their rare, but deadly “Tiberium Spikes” as I call ‘em. These Tiberium Spikes are vollied over the battlefield, over to our side… and explode on impact. Shards of Tiberium Crytals shoot in all directions… you should see the devistation is causes, the spikes are sharp and jaggered, it goes right through your armour, sticks into your flesh, then the radiation starts to take it’s toll, slowly and painfully. What’s worse is that the jaggered edges make it near impossible to simply pull out… I remember when one of the my friends, an officer a rank higher than me, who I grew up with… went to… training with, got a Tiberium shard in his heart… but he didn’t die there, the radiation started running through his bloodstream. I could see him losing colour in his face and all over. He started going gaunt within minutes… he… he, asked me to end the pain. I didn’t want to, but if you’d just heard his screams, he was pleading to end the torture. He lost his ability to talk not long after, the radiation was searing his brain… but… but he could still cry… the pain would’ve been unbearable, tears were rolling down his face… he stared at me, tears glazing his eyes, I knew this was his only way of giving me one final order, soldier to soldier… I…
